York Family History Fair, one of the biggest in the UK will be held at the Knavesmire Stand at York Racecourse 2008 . Last years fair, as usual, was very busy and well attended with over 90 exhibitors. Final figures of how many came through the doors are not yet out but the really wet weather obviously did not keep people away.
Parts of the UK have experienced flood conditions over the last few weeks and further rain in the week before York had been a worry. Although it did rain for some of the day, no flooding occurred in York and everyone had a great day.
The next fair on the Family Tree Folk calendar is The West Midlands Family History Fair at Worcester on August 11; it opens at 10am and runs until 4pm. We will be there with our unique range of Family History gifts. If you live further south, there is also the fair at Weston Super Mar on July 14th and the FHS of Buckinghamshire Open day at Aylesbury on July 28th.
